Key points for dividing tetrahedral grid structure of aluminum castings

With the development of technology, the previous materials and technologies have been unable to meet our needs. In order to better meet the needs and performance, aluminum castings were born. For the high pressure casting technology of cast aluminum, its structural mechanics properties are complex. The reasonable grid simulation is to accurately represent the mechanical properties of actual cast aluminum parts. However, relying solely on hexahedral grids to simulate aluminum castings is difficult and inefficient, and the local transition regions are complex, making it impossible to express complete geometric features using grids. In the analysis of casting fracture failure, the simulation accuracy of hexahedral mesh modeling is higher than that of tetrahedral. Under the same mesh size, the number of hexahedral elements is much less than tetrahedral elements, so hexahedral is widely used for simulating parts with simple structures.
